Bring U.S. Cellular’s core values of treating customers like neighbors, not numbers, with TEAM’s Better Day activation, employing a series of socially driven tactics geared at enhancing local communities. Our “Band of Better” brand ambassadors were deployed to every location consumers live, work and play – to enhance their summers with perks and prizes, as well as items to augment their recreational activities. Block parties were amplified with tablet games, giveaways and outdoor activities, as well as block party kits filled with essential party elements such as grilling utensils, aprons, grocery gift cards and first aid kits. The Band of Better roamed parks offering portable picnic supplies, tablet games with giveaways, and park cleanup after outdoor outings. Each participating park received a $1,000 payment on behalf of U.S. Cellular to be used toward making the park experience better for the community. Consumers were even given a better day in local business locations – where they were surprised with vouchers and gift cards to local participating businesses. Throughout all tactics, a nomination station was present – allowing consumers to nominate friends and families for “local knocks.”
