  1. What was your first job, ever?

My first job was at the age of 14. I worked as a cook with my mom and aunts at a “Mom and Pop” establishment named Corners. It was similar to a modern day Best Buy. The owner had created a kitchen in the store and we cooked homemade food every day. It’s where I first learned to cook.

  2. You’ve been at TEAM for 13 years. Tell us about your different roles you’ve had at TEAM and what’s been your favorite part about working here?

I started working for TEAM when I was 15. Lol.  (she’s kidding by the way) – I originally started as a financial analyst for Bacardi USA (BUSA) and then eventually moved to a senior accountant role for Emerging Clients and MillerCoors. I now find myself in Payroll and Benefits. My favorite thing about working for TEAM is that everything has changed and continues to evolve. I have grown with the company and am proof that opportunity does exist if you enjoy what you do.

  3. If you could choose a superpower – what would it be?

If I had one superpower it would be the ability to see the future. I want to know how much time I have left with the ones I love so that I can make every day special for them.

  4. As a working parent, how do you balance work and family?

I find giving 100% to both aspects of my life works best for me. It’s natural for me to work 8 to 10 hours a day, especially during payroll, go home, cook a homemade meal for my family and then work on a school project that my son or daughter conveniently forgot to mention is due tomorrow. I also think it’s important to find some quiet time for yourself, even if it’s 5:00 am at the gym.

  5. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not, living or dead, real or fictional, with whom would it be?

If I could trade places with anyone it would be my grandmother. She passed away when she was 99 years old, a month before she turned 100. She was the strongest, wisest, and most loving woman I know. She saw a lot during her lifetime and expressed nothing but love and kindness to all she encountered.

  6. What does your perfect Sunday Funday look like?

Hanging out in my backyard with family, enjoying mimosas and laying out by the pool.

  7. As a veteran of TEAM, what advice would you give to someone on their first day at TEAM?

Respect is earned. Honesty is appreciated. Trust is gained.  Loyalty is returned.

  8. If you could solve one world problem – what would it be?

    a. It would be to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. My 12-year-old nephew, Marco, was recently diagnosed and I see the struggle. It has completely changed my sister and her family’s life. I wish I could do more.

  9. What’s your go-to meal when you don’t want to cook?

Stuffed mushrooms with ground chicken and zucchini.

  10. Tell us your secret to staying fit and healthy

My motivation for staying fit is my children. I always want to set a good example for them. I need to take care of myself, so that I can take care of them. They are my life.

  11. When you’re not at work, where would we typically find you?

At church. God plays a pivotal role in my life and who I have become as a person. .

  12. We hear you’re a big Canes fan – What peaked your interest?

My husband. He is a huge Canes fan. There aren’t many great college football teams in New York, so when I moved to Florida, it was a natural fit. I love the players/fans vibe and passion for the game. And the tailgates are top-notch.

  13. If you were famous, it’d be for…

Being a great singer…. negative. I have a horrible voice but love singing the oldies. Don’t be too surprised to stop by my office and hear me singing Hall and Oates.
